FREE LA CDL General Knowledge Exam Simulator 2019
Don’t go to the Louisiana OMV without the proper preparation in place. If you want to get your Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) there’s no way around it, you are going to have to study up. The first thing you’ll want to get ahold of is the official Louisiana commercial driver’s manual. In there will be all of the information that you need to pass the exam. But it’s a great idea to add practice tests, like the free ones we have available, to your study time. Our CDL General Knowledge tests provide a convenient way to see how you are scoring and provides questions that are very similar, if not identical to those that you will face on the actual exam. The official test itself is a 50 question, multiple-choice exam and you only have an hour to finish all the questions. Get just ten of those questions wrong and you will have to come back another day to get your CDL. Our practice tests will give you all the prep you need to make sure that you can pass the first time. However, a good test score is not all you need to be eligible to get a CDL. There is some paperwork involved that you need to prepare as well. While we can help you be mentally prepared to drive commercially, the state requires you also prove you are physically capable. For this you need a Medical Examiner’s Certificate which you can only get from a medical examiner listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry. This certificate lasts for two years, generally, unless the examiner feels you have a condition that needs monitoring, like hypertension or diabetes. Along with this certificate (also known as a DOT card) you will need a valid current driver’s license and proof of citizenship or lawful permanent residency. A green card, social security card or birth certificate will work for this. Get it all together and get into the exam with the confidence to need to get your CDL on the first try.
